JULY 2007: MEETINGS WILL NOW BE HELD ON THE FIRST AND THIRD THURSDAYS OF THE MONTH INSTEAD OF WEEKLY. THIS IS A ROTARY INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVE TO SEE IF MEMBERSIHP WILL INCREASE WITH A DIFFERENT MEETING SCHEDULE, MAKING IT EASIER FOR BUSY PROFESSIONALS TO BE A PART OF THE CLUB. Dear Rotarian:
Please join the Rotary Club of Chicago as we host HRH Crown Prince and HRH Crown Princess of Yugoslavia.
Crown Princess Katherine founded Lifeline Humanitarian Organization in 1993 with a mission to help all those in need, regardless of religious or ethnic origin. Lifeline's role is to help by providing the basics to hospitals and clinics, and food and other supplies to the disadvantaged. Lifeline is committed to helping and will continue to play a leadership role in the effort to relieve this suffering.
We will meet on October 3, 2006 at the Union League Club, located at 65 W. Jackson Boulevard in Chicago. Check-in begins at 11:30 and lunch will be from 12-1 p.m. This event will cost $25 for Rotary Club of Chicago members and $30 for visitors and guests to the club. Payment may be made at the door. 7/16/2006. University of Nis- Clinic of Stomatology- project to send needed medical equipment. Club member Srdjan Cemerikic leads this project in helping obtain needed medical equipment for a hospital in the town of Nis, Serbia. The list of needed equipment follows. Please contact our club if you can help with this project. We are looking for donations of medical equipment.
Surgical table with rmote control, surgical light, sterilizer, Autoclave, Electrosurgical unit with accessories, Dental Chair with foot control, suction pump unit for OR, Anesthesia machines, vital sign monitor, syringe pump, infusion pump, Defibrillator, Ventilator, Ventilator mobile, Oxygenator, Laryngoscope set, Laboratory blood gas analyzer, Laboratory analyzer for clinical biochemistry tests, Surgical motor system for bone surgery with attachments.
Clinic of stomatology Nis will pay shipment costs.- Chief of Staff, Dr. Dragan Krasic, DDS, PhD, maxillofacial surgeon

FRENCH CONNECTION. Team Members, Team Leader and Host Clubs needed for Group Study Exchange with France. The District 6450 Group Study Exchange Committee is pleased to announce that the district will host a two-way exchange with Normandy, France during the 2006-2007 Rotary year. We will receive a team April 28-May 26, 2007. All clubs are invited to participate in hosting. We will also send a team to France next spring, May 26-June 24, 2007. We need to identify candidates for the team leader position plus four team members. The team leader must be a Rotarian adn team members must not be Rotarians. The program fosters international goodwill by exposing young professionals to another culture during a 1-month visit- touring business, civic, educational, cultural, and religious sites; they also engage in vocational exchanges with members of their own professions. They stay in Rotary homes. Rotary covers travel, room & board, and program site fees.
